A parlare così è Alessio Sundas, manager toscano che più di un anno fa ingaggiò il rom Marco Ahmetovic, che uccise nel 2007 quattro ragazzi di Appignano del Tronto (Ascoli Piceno) guidando ubriaco il suo furgone, come testimonial di una campagna di sensibilizzazione a livello nazionale contro l’abuso di alcol al volante. “A causa della campagna stampa di cui sono stato oggetto - spiega – la mia vita è stata rovinata, distrutta. Se i giornalisti non avessero voluto parlare dell’operazione in certi termini ora non avrei avuto niente da ridire. Ma visto che la cosa è andata su tutti i quotidiani nazionali è allucinante che ora non si dia la possibilità ad una persona rovinata (dal modo in cui l’argomento è stato trattato) di spiegare che cosa è successo, di riabilitare la propria immagine e di continuare a vivere. Io non vivo più. Ricevo quotidianamente minacce, non posso uscire di casa senza avere problemi, di recente qualcuno si è introdotto nella mi abitazione ed ha scritto sui muri esterni “Muori”. Ho paura non tanto per me, ma per la mia famiglia. La stampa ignora volutamente la mia situazione, forse pensando che io voglia solo farmi pubblicità. Ebbene, non ne ho bisogno. Ma ho il diritto di rettificare quanto è stato scritto su di me, ho il diritto di vivere dignitosamente. Questo diritto non viene rispettato. Tra le altre cose, ho notato che ultimamente su Googlenews le notizie che mi riguardano hanno una permanenza addirittura inferiore alle 24 ore. E ho chiesto chiarimenti. Poi i sono accorto della petizione lanciata contro di me sul sito dello ZOO di Radio 105. E’ allucinante. Sono stato costretto a depositare una querela per essere sicuro che tutto questo finisse. L'OPERAZIONE CHE HA VISTO PROTAGONISTA AHMETOVIC ERA STATA CONCEPITA SOLO COME UNA PROVOCAZIONE AL SISTEMA, E NON AVEVA CERTO L'INTENTO DI LUCRARE SULLE DISGRAZIE ALTRUI. DI TUTTO QUESTO HO LE PROVE. ORA NON RIFAREI QUELLO CHE HO FATTO. PERCHE’ NESSUNO HA VOLUTO VEDERE QUAL ERA IL MIO VERO SCOPO”.
E aggiunge: “Ma al di là della mia personale vicenda, ritengo che sia proprio sbagliato il modo di fare informazione. Quotidiani ed emittenti radio-televisive prendono sovvenzioni statali e dovrebbero quanto meno preoccuparsi di fornire un’informazione corretta. Per i quotidiani il contributo statale si basa sui costi e sulla tiratura. Più copie stampi più aumenta il contributo, ma devi venderne almeno il 25%.
La legge si chiama 'provvidenza all'editoria' e provvede ad elargire milioni di euro anche ai grandi gruppi, quelli che è difficile dire che ne avrebbero bisogno. Vediamole cifre. Sommando le voci tra periodici e quotidiani nel 2004 La Repubblica-Espresso riceve 12 milioni di euro, RCS e Corriere della Sera 25 milioni di euro. Il sole 24 Ore della Confindustria, 18 milioni di euro. La Mondatori 30 milioni di euro. Sono contributi indiretti, ad esempio, Il Sole 24 Ore è il quotidiano che ha più abbonati in assoluto, ogni volta che il giornale viene spedito invece di 26centesimi ne spende 11.
La differenza ce la mette lo stato. Nel 2004 ci ha messo 11 milioni e 569 mila euro. La Francia, che è l'unico paese europeo a dare finanziamenti pubblici sborsa 250milioni ma solo per i giornali di partito e con poca pubblicità”. Sundas si pone una sola domanda: “Nessuno contesta i finanziamenti di cui gli organi di stampa usufruiscono, ma, quanto meno, non si potrebbe fare in modo che l’informazione venisse veramente diretta ai cittadini?”
